About Us

The North Quincy High School learning community values increasing knowledge, building character, and encouraging service in order to graduate students who demonstrate 21st-century skills and contribute to the global society. We expect that each NQHS graduate will: think critically; communicate effectively; collaborate successfully; utilize technology; embrace responsibility; and demonstrate respect.

Students complete an academic program that includes core courses in English, mathematics, science, social studies, and world languages. Advanced Placement opportunities are available in each core academic subject. Elective courses are available in art, photography, music, theater, business, engineering, carpentry, visual design and communication, broadcasting, and computer applications. Courses are also available in the Air Force Junior ROTC program. Special Education services and an English Language Learner program are available to eligible students.

Students may also participate in a number of athletic programs during three seasons. Dozens of clubs and organizations are open to all students with a passion or just a passing interest in any number of areas. Students may pursue a variety of community service opportunities. The NQHS chapter of the National Honor Society annually inducts members who have demonstrated excellence in leadership, character, knowledge, and service.
